Unity

Recently we have struck an alliance with the guilds of Unity. Unity is a group of guilds with the common goal of eliminating discrimination through peace and war. They do not tolerate racism, classism (yeah i made up a word), ganking or grieving. As part of Unity we can ask for help from the guilds of Unity and as such they may ask for ours. We are not obligated to assist them however and they are not obligated to assist us. Post any questions you may have here or ask Skellel in game.

Guilds of Unity:
Brotherhood of the Serpent - These guys are most honorable.
Gecko - Don't know much about them but those I've run into have been ok.
Blackwater - I've seen mixed actions among their members.
Order of the Black Dragon - New guild.
Children of the Cathedral - Old guild that has changed their ways to a more honorable path.

I've yet to see this tree played out to it's full but so far so good. Utilizing the BS defense buffs and maximizing the HoTs this tree has got me through the mid 30s solo. Most BS i've seen focus on one tree of the other gimping them in either solo or dungeon settings. When bosses with AoEs hit this feat build of BS you don't need to worry so much. The biggest worry you have is pulling aggro from the tank. BS have powerfull hits and heals and that draws alot of aggro but with the defense of this tree if you lie low for a few hits the tank should grab aggro again.

Rules of War

1. You may attack a member of a guild we are at war with without warning.
2. You must tell the victim why you attacked.
3. You may never attack anyone while in conversation with the locals. (NPCs)
4. You may never attack anyone while they stand on shrines or rebirth. (rez points)
5. If someone in battle asks for a truce, give it to them temporarily. Tell them to have their leaders contact our leadership and we will engage in peace negotiations.

Fail to adhere to these rules of ware will result in punishment up to and including exile from Bound by Blood.

If you are unable to resolve a PvP issue by yourself please ask the guild in game for help.

If no one is online follow the rules in the KoS list post to petition the offender to be put on the KoS list.

Taoism

One of the believes we accept within Bound by Blood are those of the Taoist. Taoists do not live by the rigid "laws" of Bushido but they can live within them. It is expected that all Taoists within our ranks respect the laws of Bushido but are free to live by the characteristics of those who follow Tao.

Taoist generally will:

1. Keep their word of honor when they give it. However, if things change Taoist may also change their word.

2. Avoid lies but are known for a good jest.

3. Cheat if necessary

4. Not kill an unarmed foe.

5. Never harm an innocent.

6. Not use torture unless there is no other way.

7. Never kill for pleasure.

8. Help those in need.

9. Refuse to take leadership unless in emergency situstions.

10. Never violate law for personal gain. But may avoid law when possible.

11. Jest or make fun of authority, but only in good fun.

12. Stick by a friend

As you can see it is not difficult for even the most devote follower of Bushido to accept most Taoists among their social ranks. Many of the beliefs are parallel and all are not obstructive to the other.

(OOC): This list is derived from a credited source but as all information is subject to view it is also up for debate. But that's half the fun of philosophy. Feel free to add, comment, discus other philosophies here. If you'd like to sponsor another religion from the east that can co-exist with Bushido please let me know and I'll open up a new forum for it and add it into the guild bio.

Bushido

The Seven Virtues of Bushido are:

* Gi (Rectitude/Justice) - Set lies aside. A samurai does not make honesty or justice a matter for debate; he knows that there is only truth and falsehood, justice and injustice.

* Rei (Politeness/Respect) - A samurai is neither a bully nor a brute killer. He must treat his enemies with courtesy.

* Yu (Courage) - Only fear of death can destroy life; the samurai replaces it with an understanding of danger.

* Meiyo - (Honor) Praises and curses are not what defines honor; the samurai reserves his judgment for himself.

* Jin (Benevolence) - Just as the farmer does not grow crops merely to fill his own belly, the warrior does not fight for himself alone. A samurai must be constantly aware of the duty to protect others.

* Shin (Honesty/Trust) - A samurai's words and his actions are one and the same. To 'promise' would be redundant.

* Chugi (Duty and Loyalty) - Actions and their consequences define those who take them. The samurai's loyalty to those that he guards for is unshakable.

All of Bound by Blood must live by Bushido. It is not just a code of law but a way of life. Regardless of spiritual beliefs Bushido stands first and foremost among our tenants.

(OOC): There are minor changes in name and definitions of the seven virtues depending on your source but they remain the same in concept.

KOS List

As the world harbors many that would bring harm on others for no reason other then their sick lust for blood and greed there is a need to keep ourselves aware of who they are. Those listed below have proven themselves dishonorable and dangerous to our own and it is authorized to kill these individuals on site for our own safety.

If you wish to add a name to the KoS list please post below the name, reason and if possible screen shot. Leadership will then decide if the name will be added. Until then do not treat them as if they were on the KoS list. Avoid them if possible and seek in game assistance from guild members.

Keep in mind that we still need to adhere to Bushido and our believes when exacting justice on these individuals. Please read the KoS rules post before engaging in combat.

Scouting Recruits

Please post here for anyone you wish to be scouted for recruitment if you cannot get in touch with a guild leader in game. It is vitally important to post the recruits Name, level and reason for being scouted. This will make it easier for guild leadership to get in touch with the recruit quickly and bring them into our ranks faster.

(ooc) I will be placing the list of guilds that we are at war with here along with details as to why. Please start a new post below if you wish to petition a guild to go to war with along with detailed reasons and screenshots if possible. They will then be discussed among the leadership and a decision will be made. Until a decision is made officially avoid contact with the guild or make certain they know that it is a personal war you fight, not a guild war.

Guilds at War:
Brutal Conquest - lvls 20-80 - members 20-30 - active 2-5 at any given time.
Brutal Conquest has proven many times to attack on site anyone lower level then themselves. They promote unchecked rage and killing without restraint and are a threat to all those around them. Engage with caution as they often have alts of higher lvl and hold grudges. They are known to spawn camp and zone camp and will attack you while in combat, talking to an npc and while AFK. Call on our allies if you need help dealing with this guild. Most of our allies have had issues with Brutal Conquest as well and will be glade to assist.

Recruiting Guidelines

(ooc) Our top priority is to recruit. I would like to see everyone actively recruiting. At the moment it isn't key to recruit members the perfectly match our guild concept and ideals. However there are a few set in stone requirements:

1. Player must be level 15+
[This helps weed out any who are just testing classes. Also by this time most people have gotten a handle on how the game works and can put effort into role playing.]

2. Player must have an RP name.
[No one with a ridiculous name is going to be serious about role playing and if they are then they won't look it and I don't want someones name giving our guild a bad name]

3. Player must not have a reputation as a Ganker/Griever.
[If these people wish to join us they must change their ways and wait a period of 2 weeks without incident to prove they have changed]

Krieg the Destroyer

Krieg's history is very intertwined and confusing in its own right.

Namely because he was an enormous liar and only ever spoke truth about his own nature and the form of his powers.

In truth he was born as Raktashi the son of Erlick (the standing God of Death, Evil and ruler over Hell) and sent as a corruptor to the surface world where he would play key roles in moving the downfall of the two strongest nations in Hyborian history (namely Atlantis and Acheron). Raktashi, was granted power to draw upon the souls of the eternally damned and through his mind will them to do as he pleased; and upon the eve of his eight-teenth birthday the power to shapeshift from one mortal coil into another. He manipulated his way into political strongholds across Atlantis and played straight hands in causing the destruction of several other nations at the hands of the Atlantean military.

After the cataclysms, Raktashi ventured eastward all the way

Unknown until I left home I was born from a Stygian whore and an Aquilonian general. My childhood was wrapped in secret as my father would not reveal his "digression" from the teachings of Mitra and thus gave me up to the church so that I may have been raised in the light of Mitra. As requested by my father the church kept with the story that my father died in battle and my mother died in childbirth.

Under the care of the priests of Mitra I was taught justice and liberty but I also learned with an over curious mind that the teachings of Mitra could not be upheld by the teachings themselves. One could not defeat every lie with a truth or every evil with a good. I developed a since honor that meant upholding honor by any means necessary. This did not sit well with the religious half of the church and they dismissed me at the age of 14.

Wondering the streets of Aquilonia only justified my beliefs as I watched from the shadows as good people were mugged, rapped and murdered and the city guard did nothing because the testimony of a street boy carried no weight in their "justice" system. After two years on the street I met with a drunkard who was once a Ranger for the military. He trained me and guided me without compensation of any kind. One day I asked him why he would invest so much of his time in a person like myself.

He told me that I was the son of his general and he had experienced first hand the end of those who followed the lawful honor. My father had met his fate when he took orders to raid a Stygian homestead. His troop was outnumbered five to one and there was no evidence that this Stygian village followed Set or harbored any sort of criminal. It was an order made out of prejudice and hate. Being a man of law he followed the order anyway. Despite being outnumbered my fathers troop was surely not out skilled. They slaughtered the farmer and peasant warrior as well as women and children. When they reached the large town center building a warrior stood in full plate at the door declaring that none who wished harm on the children inside would leave the steeps alive. The warrior stood against many until finally my father took on the task himself. The battle raged for naught but three minutes but was said to bring the eyes of all the gods to it as the fury and skill of the fight demanded such attention. In the end my father mortally wounded the warrior and the warrior yielded under his request and was asked to reveal his identity before he bleed out. The warrior removed helm and mask to reveal my mother. The drunkard then told me that my father declared his love for her and cursed the army, the church and the law and drove his own blade into his chest so he too would bleed to death. Stunned by their general the army disbanded on the spot. Some returned home, some to duty and others could never face life the same again and became wanderers. The drunkard had stayed in the village to help rebuild the damage they had done. He had stayed for six years and learned of my mother and why she defended the town so.

My mother had been born a Stygian as a result of a Cimmarian wanderer who had raped her mother. Being a tainted and impure piece of flesh by Set standards she was good for nothing other then whoring. When my fathers army occupied a Stygian border town they had secretly fallen in love and the result was a bastard child who had been given to the church of Mitra. When the drunkard met me and learned of my past and my beliefs he said he owned it to my parents to make sure I turned out as their hearts had always wanted.

Unbound by law, religion or race I was given freedom to develop a true since of honor to all life on Hyboria. With the skills passed to me as a Ranger I had the means to fight for that honor and do so with every breath and fiber of my mind body and soul.

Born in poverty in a small town in Aqualonia, I grew up knowing the only way to survive was to steal, but my Honor would not allow me to just take...there was always something left behind to make up for my transgressions. At the tender age of 12 I went to the city proper to see what i would see. Finding the same life and those who were tainted of heart my Honor grew the code by which I live grew as well, to punish those who were tainted, those who would prey on innocence blood i would punish and haunt from the shadows was my vow, my tools were the shadows that hid me from their sight, and my blades to draw their blood. My bothers found me as I lay dying and revived me to help the hunt for those Who were Marked to punish and torment those who prey on the innocent My brothers and i realized what we were we were the Hunters, we are the punishers, we sat in Judgment as those who would ignore the crimes of others sat by and watched as innocence blood was spilt ... So we became Bound By Blood the Brotherhood who watches from the Shadows ... be wary all for i am watching

Leokin (Auto-Biography)

I was born in the wilderness, near a river in the dark of night. The rain poored down as thunder rolled over the hills like a raging stampede. Rabid wolves in the distance chased down and killed my parents after I had been conceived and placed on a branch in a poorly threaded picnick basket. The only thing which kept me alive that night was a dark wanderer of some sort from what I was told by my adopting parents. Years rolled forward and I trained hard to hone my skills to become like the warriors i saw walking around town every now and then. Though I not only wanted to be like them, but I wanted to surpass them and become the strongest of all. Until recently I had been held captive by a tribe of men with no name. The men called theselves normal.. but there was nothing normal about the torture techniques and bloodspilling they had done for pure pleasure. Everything from simple beatings, to ripping the skin off an individual inch by inch with rusty dull blades attached to long leather whips. Of course I was given the oportunity to experiance most of the techniques they had to offer after being in captivity for over 5 years. Now I seek once more to hone my skills to raise my sword and shield and protect those around me from ever having to suffer as I or any of those unfortunate enough to have crossed them did.
